Dolce Far Niente - Saatchi Gallery
Dolce Far Niente is an editorial photo story reimagining the neoclassical paintings of William John Godward through a contemporary lens. Across five looks, individual paintings are translated into photographic scenes through carefully considered styling, set design, hand-painted backdrops and natural light. Classical references are juxtaposed with contemporary hair, makeup and unexpected props, creating a playful dialogue between antiquity and the present. Selected works from the series were exhibited at Saatchi Gallery as part of The British Art Fair.
