Mildsauce

Mildsauce is a youth-led magazine developed through Street Level’s Editor’s Club, a media arts program rooted in community storytelling and social impact. The platform empowers young people to explore identity, culture, and civic engagement through journalism and multimedia.
I contributed to the visual and editorial direction of the magazine, designing the cover and layout of the issue. It was an opportunity for me to shape its narrative tone, elevating youth voices through creative, accessible design. Each issue blends written articles with photography, audio, and video to create dynamic, multi-layered storytelling. Themes have included music, neighborhood identity, and civic engagement.
This project demonstrates the role of design as a powerful tool for social storytelling. It was a meaningful opportunity to support emerging creators in amplifying their perspectives. This Mildsauce issue has been featured in youth exhibitions and events at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, highlighting its cultural relevance and community impact.
